Here are some pix of one of my favorite projects...an heirloom Christening Gown for my family. A niece wore it first and my husband's sister, Ellen, did the embroidery with her machine. She also embroidered the baby's name and Christening date on the slipl It is 5 ft. long and over 5 ft from the side of the front panel to other.
This gown is as long as I am tall.

I loved doing the pin tucks and making the fancy bands!

 
You can see the details of the lace on the tiny sleeves....they untied her bonnet and it slipped sideways ;)
