Leathers and Lace

This blog is about two of my favorite things: Riding our Harley Davidson Motorcycle (Leathers) and Sewing (Lace). I will be making 'pages' about each garment, trip, etc., as well as, 'posts.' If you look at the right side of my blog, you'll see 'pages' that will correspond to each new 'post' that I add. This will allow you to see each specific 'post' (page) and hopefully make it easier to find what you may be looking for. I hope this makes sense.

The newest project that I'm involved in is the 1912 Sewing Project. Over 400 of us (so far) have answered the call from Janyce at the "Vintage Pattern Lending Library" to make up garments from La Mode Illustree, a French magazine from 1912. We also have a very interactive group of members on their Facebook page.

My husband, Karl, and I love to travel on our 2008 Harley Davidson Street Glide Motorcycle that we bought at Brandt's Harley Davidson in Wabash, IN. Learn about all of the great things they do with and for their customers, and visit their Facebook page. We have owned "Rosie" for 5 yrs. and are members of the Harley Owners' Group. We have seen amazing things and met wonderful people on our rides. We've ridden from home (Indiana) to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, across the country to the Oregon Coast; Myrtle Beach, SC.; Eastport, ME; and Arkansas. We've ridden the 'Tail of the Dragon' 3 times, so far. I'll be posting travel & route info and some pix about those trips as well as the ones we'll be taking. We're very excited about going back to our favorite spot in Eastport, ME this yr.

Feel free to post comments and use the links that I'll be posting.

This blog is still very much under construction, so please be patient.

Leathers and Lace

This blog is about my two favorite things: Riding our Harley Davidson Motorcycle (Leathers) and Sewing (Lace). If you look at the top of my blog, you'll see 'tabs' that will correspond to both.

The newest project that I'm involved in is the 1912 Titanic Sewing Project. Over 400 of us answered the call from Janyce at the "Virtual Pattern Lending Library" to make up garments from  La Mode Illustree, a French magazine from 1912. (I have a third tab that will include only blogs about that project.)
